Sales and Business Development Engineer EMEA

An ambitious research and development strategy has put Nommon at the forefront of innovation in the mobility analytics market. As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for a senior sales and business development engineer to execute our expansion plans across the EMEA region.

Job description

You will work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial start-up environment, along with a talented, international, multidisciplinary team. Reporting to Nommon’s Chief Business Development Officer, responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to the definition and execution of Nommon’s business development plan for the EMEA region.
  • Monitor market trends and client expectations and contribute to the definition of innovative products, services, and business models, in collaboration with Nommon’s business units.
  • Establish market strategies and strategic partnerships to expand business.
  • Identify target clients in both current and new geographies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
  • Lead the preparation of tenders.
  • Monitor client status and sales opportunities, including calls for tenders.
  • Arrange and conduct meetings and events with clients, including product demonstrations and commercial presentations.
  • Attend relevant conferences, fairs and other academic and industrial events.

Qualifications and skills

Required:

  • MSc in a relevant engineering field, preferably with a background in Transport Engineering and/or Transport Economics.
  • 10+ years of experience with a proven track record in creating new business opportunities and translating them into technical and financial proposals.
  • Experience in responding to complex government tenders.
  • Experience in the transport and mobility industry and/or in other sectors dealing with geospatial data, such as urban planning, tourism and geomarketing.
  • Team orientation and ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent English and Spanish oral and written communication skills.
  • Willing and able to travel as needed to achieve objectives.

Nice to have, but not indispensable:

  • Experience in the application of big data and artificial intelligence to the analysis mobility and travel behaviour.
  • Experience in transport planning and modelling.
  • Good command of a third language (especially German, French, Italian, Portuguese or Arabic).

  • Annual salary: 60.000 – 90.000 €
